Two clips for the upcoming remake of 'V'

First Trailer for 'V' Remake

Considering how much I loathe remakes and how much I liked the original series, I had low hopes for this despite recent similar treatment for another childhood favorite, BSG. The cast looks great, including Morena Baccarin (Firefly, Stargate: SG-1) taking on the role of Anna, who looks similar to Jane Badler's Diana, Joel Gretsch (Taken, The 4400) and Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost) appearing to be taking on the roles of the leaders of the rebellion, Laura Vandervoort (Smallville, possibly taking on the role of the alien who falls in love with a human, aka Robert Englund as Willie), and Scott Wolf (Party of Five) as the reporter who uncovers the truth. It seems that they have changed the gender of many of the main characters from the original, but it looks promising. We'll see...

Video Game - E3 2009 - Attack of the Show

Not to be confused with the musical from the guy that brought us Chicago (ack), 9 is directed by former Weta Design artist Shane Acker and Producers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night/Day Watch), this looks amazing! The only thing I thought was off was the song they used. Watching the trailer, I thought the use of a Tool song would have been much more appropriate considering the visuals of the film. Still, I'm looking forward this quite a bit!

I had a feeling Ritchie's take would be a drastically different take on the traditional sleuth, but I had no idea it'd be this action oriented. Hopefully, he maintains a certain amount of the aura of genius that was the Holmes character. I'm pensively awaiting more details!
